Friends: I confess that I'm not particularly interested in most of the technical discussions that have dominated in the group recently. And I agree with Jim that careful selection of subject lines when one posts makes it easier for others to figure out quickly whether they want to look at a posting in detail. But I also think that people have been pretty good about using subject lines and don't feel we need a special list of headings or a policy about them. I've never felt, even with all the "tech-talk" we've had recently, that the group is uninterested or unsympathetic to discussions of field techniques or even sharing of stories about trips afield, questions about natural sounds, and the like.
