Wow, I got really interested when Dan Dugan talked about the AT 3032's getting 8dB noise figures!!!! The spec sheet from AT specs them at 16dB- A weighted, which is still good. Was this just a fluke or are these things really that good? Has anyone taken the things apart to see if the cartridges themselves can be used without the rest of the mic? That is the only way I use my Sennheiser ME66 elements since I make my own PZM mics. I would like to try these AT 3032's sometime. I used to work for AT long ago. Nice to see them making good stuff, because they are not well know for anything impressive.
