The big differnce between the rain forrest and the northern US is the use of playback during a breeding season that is short. SImply we are seeing big drops in song birds for a bunch of reasons that need to each be addressed.=20 I don't have the time to raise my usual objection to the practice so I will give the now famous quote for New Orleans.
