Hello and welcome Vitor!

I think you may have a faulty NH900. We've had
60- NH900's in use since September 2004 and I've
not heard reports of any "fatal error" prompts as
yet. As our units are in steady use by students,
if it was a common problem, I'd probably know
about it. If its brand new, I'd request a
replacement unit from your dealer.

Is your friend using SonicStage 3.2? I know of
know reason now to "lose" files during transfers
with this version of the software. 3.2 also makes
the wav conversion automatically so you can test
play the wav files before eliminating the .oma
download file. The recording stays on the HiMD
disc and can be re-transfrered for whatever
reason. v3.2 is a free upgrade.

One tip: Don't reformat the 1GB discs to clear
them rather retain Sony's factory format and use
Edit->Erase->Erase All. I've seen two disks with
a few non transferrable tracks on them and both
were re-formatted right before use. Rob D.
