After spending about 22 years as a surveyor I can tell you that they do sti= ll make and supply the solder pieces in the tape repair kits. They have sav= ed my skin many times. After one walks 5-10 miles into the back country the= last thing needed is no way to measure what you've been paid to go back an= d measure. I once knew a party chief who repaired his "chain" in a hurry, with a hango= ver, and left out a 1/10th of a foot. Nothing he did would close (mathemati= cally) for weeks, until he remembered the "repair". Enjoy! J. |
