next round of pmd660 dilemma

OK, so it turns out Doug Oade's company won't do the modifications on
pmd660's that they don't sell.  So the next round of questions for you
gurus:

1.  Does anyone know of another individual or company that can make
these modifications?

2.  Has anyone used a solid state recorder that doesn't need to be
modified to make low amplitude recordings?=20
