Correction: The HD-P2 has a time code input, it does not

Compare with Marantz PMD671, which measures
10.4" x 7.3" x 2.4" and weighs 46oz without batteries.
I don't think you'd notice the fractional difference
in size, but you'd certainly notice the HD-P2's lighter
weight on your shoulder after a day in the field.
As for the current "gold standard" Sound Devices 722,
it measures a diminutive 7.58" x 4.41" x 1.65," and
weighs 40oz with standard hard drive and battery.
