Or, if you got one of the new HiMD decks, you could record the full 24 hours on one disc and select the best minute of each hour... Like what if the dawn chorus lasts 50 minutes and you miss it??? An ideal application for the sound devices hard disc recorders... They have a timer but it only allows one setting.
