Soundtrack Pro as an editor software?

Subject: Soundtrack Pro as an editor software?

Hi naturerecordists,

I'm trying to do some editing (cleaning up unwanted
background noise) for some of my bird sounds (specific
individuals) and I found soundtrack Pro software for
editing and cleaning up recordings (Mac based). I read
the features in the box and looks good but, is anybody
has some experience with Soundtrack Pro for this task?

Some of my recordings are in mono with analog
recorder, so I guess you can understand what other
types of noise I will try to remove or reduce.

I'll be happy to know what do you think. I tryied to
find reviews on the web but most of all are just
reviews from musicians doing different tasks.

Thanks for all your help
