Thanks Martyn and Greg.  After some more tinkering, I got it.  I still
can't get the Portadisc to play through the speaks when I'm recording from=

it to the computer, but I can still listen to it through the speaker or
headphones of the Portadisc itself, which is fine with me.  The reason that=

I wasn't recording anything in Audition is that I had to configure it so
that the Portadisc was the recording device (it was under Options>Device
Order).  Anyway, I've recorded a several tracks onto the computer now and
know just enough about Audition at this point to get myself into
trouble!  I'll have fun doing it anyway.
