It is not my intention to open up a government hot potato here and I am not
standing on a soap box telling you what you should or should not do but I
would just like to ask something of you all.
I was in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in June and I recorded
those magnificent ambient sounds there. Millions of songbirds, waterfowl an=
d
shorebirds that inhabit the vast tundra and costal plains.
ANWR is a vital breeding ground for many of our birds and is in danger of
being destroyed. As you all know, Congress opens this month and maybe in
September they will vote to drill in the area. I intend to go to the variou=
s
rallies that will be held in Washington DC on the 20th of September.
I have made a recording to make people aware of the beauty of this place an=
d
at the end of this podcast; I play you my recording of the refuge.
Please find it in your heart to support NONE drilling in the refuge and
lobby your local congress man. If you don=92t believe this is within your
heart, delete this message, I will think of you no less.
ANWR is not just for us but our Children and our children's, children.
Thank you for listening:
This is a long file to open but I believe it is worth it....
