There's lots of latitude in pseudo- or quasi-binaural. Bernie recommends tying a pair of lavaliers to opposite sides of a tree trunk. When I first got my 183s, I clipped them to my glasses frames on either side of my head. Windscreening was a problem, but a bigger problem was getting the mic and earphone cables tangled up with my camera and binoculars straps. I moved the mics to shoulder pads, and I found it to be much easier to organize cables and windscreens there. I Velcro the mics to the shoulders of the vest, and windscreens over. The mic and earphone wires are pinned to the vest so they stay out of the way. Also I think the additional spacing enhances the spatiality on speakers. -Dan Dugan ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
