I've had the Enjoybirds software for some time, but
finally got around to really using it for a trip to
Panama.  It really works!=20

The best thing is its extensive collection of bird
songs linked to great range data.  I could study the
songs of each detailed locale -- really helped when I
got there.

It has sketches instead of photos, but that helps if
you're just looking for key field marks.  Definitely a
nifty peice fo software for birding North America.
