I'm sure some of you heard this, but in case by some miracle you haven't heard, an ivory billed woodpecker has been found in Arkansas by a secret team of researchers from Cornell. The bird was first spotted fourteen months ago, but kept under wraps until the Nature Conservancy could fund a serious expedition of respected scientists to document the find. They have video footage of it. Amazing stuff, man. What a gush of hope it caused in me, just listening to it. I got all welled up.
