I understand that in the language of Audition that you want "edit
view" control for more than 2 channels.  Me too, please let us know if
you find it.  I am currently doing 4 operations where with a stereo
pair I would do it once.  This would be a good recommendation to Adobe
to expand "edit view" to 6 channel audio files.

As far as a utility to read .wav files and create the .pk files I
think that you will find that "batch processing" does this ok.

open a single file in edit view. go to "file" and open "batch
processing".

sample type as you started with and the .pk files should appear.
