Virtual PC has been a useful piece of software for considerably longer
back than a couple generations. Yes, it's slower than non emulated, but
it does work. And on things slower than a G3 iBook. You just have to
decide if the speed tradeoff is worth it. In this case, little
processing is involved, it's primarily file copying. And the Hi-MD is
probably the slowest part.
