While I've not listened to the MX183 enough yet to be sure, you can't be sure until you get it out in the field for a extended period, my early opinion is the MX183 is much better than his offerings. They may be fine for concert tapers, but not much good for nature recording. It was hard to pick up anything without being right on top of it. Seemed very insensitive.
