We are taking input for the third Nature Recordists Campout May 05.
Right now we are looking strongly at a more basic event centered on
more recording time and less workshop and editing time. We would
expect an interest level similar to prior events which would be 8 to
12 participants.
Possibility 1
Full Immersion Weekend.
In organization we supply maps, locations, possibly canoes and horses.
This would be in Star Valley where we have earned free camping and
free access for our event. We would have extra charges for outfitters
if we go with more than a couple canoes or the horses. Only formal
get together would be at the campsite for campfire discussions.
Possibility 2
Mississippi Houseboat rental with and Island hops.
We could rent a three bedroom house boat and journey the northern
Mississippi River between Redwing MN and Lacross WI.
This is one of the best migration bird flyways in the world but jets,
barges, trains, and cars can never be completely avoided here. Many
small islands are available on a first come and first serve basis.
Possibility 3
No organization at all, we'll e-mail interested people before we start
driving somewhere looking for something.
Possibility 4
Whatever you may suggest.
As usual all kinds of equipment will be available to try and record
with but likely it would take assault to pry Robs 744T out of his hands.
