As far as I know it supplies 6 Volt to the mics, and it is made so
that you can bypass the micpreamp of the MD. No amount of gain is
documented, but it is not a traditional preamp; it is an 'adapter',
it adapts the mic signal for line level input, and it has some
filtering (either a full -20 dB, a high pass filter, or both at the
same time).

helpfull reply.
