Whether i've got the theory right or not... as i mentioned earlier i
saw and heard the difference demonstrated with that "drill" test. It
was a long while ago, but I recall the difference I heard in the tests
could easily have been near 20 dB.

Have fun with the kids and the parabola kits. Divide them into
seoarate groups so they can eavesdrop on the others ;^)
