Note that the plastic canvas and the latch hook materials come from
craft stores, not fabric stores. Joann's has both I know, and I remember
seeing one of that chain when I was up there.
Of course accessibility is one of the big advantages of the commercial
systems. The big trick there is to have the zeppelin slide onto the
suspension rail and lock to it somehow. The whole thing must not make
noise, of course.
Note that either plastic canvas or the painted latch hook material will
still need some support.

They are focused on the sealing properties of the o-rings.

The stuff I use will take care of handling noise while moving. But I
find the big problem is the sensitive mics will pick up the crunch of
things underfoot very well. I always record while stationary as a result.
