The future and MD recorders

Folks,

I learned today that both Sharp and Sony are going to stop manufacturing at=

least "Walkman-type" MDrecorders and perhaps all MDrecorders. The young
people today buy MP3 players and the MD market is no more commercially
interesting.

What is your information on this topic?

Klas.

I personally think the MD will blow the MP3 out of the water in its HiMD
format. Now that Sony has agreed to "Uploading" from the units this will be
far more attractive coupled with HiMD as being a source of Data storage too=
.
I much prefer removable storage than say, "Ipod" ETC.....

Just my two pence
