Recordists:

I have ben lurking for a long time, enjoying the conversations and
learning a lot. Now I have a total newbie question.

Where can I find pure recordings of nature sounds -- birds singing,
brooks babbling, forest breeses, etc. that are in the public domain? I
need to mix them into a soudtrack and would prefer to avoind royalty
payments if possible. Fairly obvious nature sounds -- no subtle "Wind
in July" vs. "Wind in August" stuff.

This may be way below the level of this august body, and if so, I will
accept stony silence as my rebuke. But if someone knows of a collection
or repository where such recordings can be found, I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks!
