thanks for all the informative replies! I've learned more than I ever thought there was to know about CD burning. Here is the state of things so far: different CD player - same problem. "Disc at once" did not fix the problem. If there was a way to set cue points to frames, I couldn't find it. trying a different burner did not fix the problem. next I will try a friend's copy of Jam, which seems to be the preferred method of doing what I want.
