It's funny how a mic that's really designed for ambiance should be built with noisy mics. Ambiance requires the quietest mics If it were a couple hundred bucks it might be worth playing with to see if the idea is ok. But it's fantastically overpriced for what's there at it's price of many thousands of bucks. Obviously designed for the movie and TV crowd, who don't seem to be too discriminating and expect to pay huge prices.
