Having just waded through the above digest it occurs to me that maybe we
need some basic lessons in trimming posts. The majority of the length of
that digest is unnecessary quoting.
A fundamental of computer word processing is that you can select a
section of text and delete it. As a minimum, after writing your post and
with the selection at the end of your post, scroll to the bottom of the
message and hold the shift key and click at the end of the text, then
hit delete. That should leave just what you wanted to say without all
the trailing baggage. Will in a mac anyway.
More advanced is to edit anything you are quoting down to just the part
you are responding to. Again mostly select and delete, or you may have
to also use cut and paste.
Remember, what you post is a representation of you. You want to attempt
to create a good impression.
