Turns out that Bob Orban engineered two of our three Warner Brothers
titles in discrete four-channel, Dan. GANDHARVA and ALL GOOD MEN.
He's gonna look into transferring them to DVD-A and will get back to
me.
Aside from Paul Beaver and me, GANDHARVA, by the way featured a lot
of "late greats" in the jazz and blues world. Among them were Mike
Bloomfield, Gerry Mulligan, Howard Roberts, Paul (of course), Gael
Laughton (playing two concert harps at the same time. He was the
fellow who, at 16 years old, played all the harp music on the Marx
Brothers' movies and was Harpo's teacher.), Leroy Vinnegar, among
many, many others still alive like Bud Shank. ALL GOOD MEN, likewise,
although it was never released, here, in 4-channel. GANDHARVA was
only released in 4-channel in Japan although we toured the US major
cities introducing it as a discrete surround product at the time.
