My recollections are that the majority of people attacked by CA mou=
ntain lions are lone women or children. A few years ago a lone woman jogger=
of excellent health and fitness was killed by a mountain lion - I heard a =
lot about this because she was also a bird watcher. This latest attack happ=
ened when the woman was temporarily separated from her companions. I also r=
emember being told in Africa that the baboons would attack women but not me=
n. Whether it was scent or behavior nobody could say.
If I am wrong about the demographics here, I apologize. If I'm righ=
t, a word to the wise....
