The folks at Sonic Senses had lunch with the SD folks and played with
a 744 (4 ch) in their hands. "Its so small, you won't even believe it
at first..about the size of the old Sony audio cassette walkman...
small enough to drop in your coat pocket." Answers about the mic pre
quality on the link Oryoki provided. Running 1.5 hours on the
internal 1500mah 7.2 volt battery is a pretty good isn't it? My
trv900 sony camcorder runs about 3.5 hours on 3000mah 7.2 volts
infolithium w/out lcd viewfinder. I bet the card disks will do 2 ch
24/48 but as 4200 rpm drives can handle 6 channels of 24/96 and you
can dump via firewire, it takes a special need to justify the money
for the expensive card media. Rob D.
