Hi Martyn;
"Lek" is a display grounds where male grouse strut and sing their stuff to =
the females. Every time there is a match they go off in the bushes (but not=
 necessarily) to consummate their love. They are found in grasslands and bo=
real forest all around the northern hemisphere including Scotland , where I=
 think you hail from? we are hoping to visit one near Inuvik in the Northwe=
st Territories this year at latitiude 67' and believed to be the most north=
erly one in the world. Unfortuneately I think we will be a little late for =
good recordings of the Sharp-tailed Grouse.
