For the preferred omni/parabola combination, there's a good chance a
pair of Panasonic capsules would give you more output and less noise
than either of these mics and at less cost. This is the cheapest
non-do-it yourself source I know of:

There was a recent string about spacing and baffling between mics on
this same list. For non parabola uses, a lot of folks use them with a
19-22" spread (A/B pairing)  Rob D.
