Answering my own mail, this doesn't look good! I did find a place
that will repair Japanese model minidisks by Sharp. www.besttec.tv
is the web page for them. However, I contacted the eBay seller and
they stand behind the guarantee for one year and will forward the
unit for repair. If necessary, to Japan for the repair and they
talk about a five week turn around. Just dumb luck on my part to
find a good seller.
