No doubt you can record that way. What I want to know is, what is the
difference in gain and coloration between just pointing the ME66 and
using it in the parabola? This would be best determined by using pink
noise on a speaker fifty feet away, recording a bit each way, and
comparing the spectra.

If you're going to the trouble to make this test, it would be
worthwhile to also take a shot with the Telinga mike installed, and
with a naked omni mike.
