Lang again. Now I have a favor to ask of the group. I'm trying to figure out how best to present sounds on my web site when I re-construct it next winter. I've been thinking about using quicktime delivery, even though most folks use PCs and many may not have quicktime installed. Anyway, would all those currently listening go to the following address and then click on the link for the sound of the Common Loon? All those with quicktime should see the sound load in a small window and it should play automatically. All those without quicktime should get a prompt telling them to download quicktime and pointing to where they can find the download. Let me know what happens. I'm hoping this will work flawlessly for all thos= e who have quicktime installed. I would also be interested in learning how many of our group have quicktime, versus how many don't. Here's the link: http://www.naturesound.com/java/java3.html Lang ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
