I have to say, either are a lot easier than my current approach using
sealed-lead acid (SLA) batteries. While they tend to be both inexpensive
and recharge well without any sort of memory effect problems, they are
extremely heavy and even in my excellent health tend to weigh too much to
carry around for any length of time. I've thought about switching, but I
have a very large collection of batteries, so I can't see doing that
right now (I have enough to last me about 5 days without recharging).
