I have a motorcycle battery I use to power a spotlight when I want lots 
of light. It's in a shoulder pac, but still a lot to cart.

Note the memory effect is something nicads did. I don't recommend buying 
nicads at all. NIMH batteries don't have the memory effect problem. They 
are also capable of being charged at a faster rate than nicads.

Just phase over to the lighter stuff as the batteries die.
