Which is all the reason why Telinga mics are not only great mics (ones that
I couldn't do without) but Klas has a product that speaks for itself, I
would recon he does little to no marketing, most of his sales are word of
mouth, tell 10 people something is good, maybe 1 or 2 people will pass it
on, tell 10 people something is crap and they will all pass it on!

Well done Klas mate, if I lost my Telinga tomorrow and someone said to me
they have one equally as good, I would wire my money to you in a flash!!

Great reputation and a decent fellow to go with it :-)

Without commenting on your abilities to build such things, there is a
lot more to a commercial product than just building it.

Could you build such things in a way that would turn a profit for your
company? That's what a commercial product has to do. The marketing, the
fit and finish of the product can easily be far more important than it's
function to how well it sells. It also means supporting your customers
after the sale and so on. It means in most cases competing with other
companies. It means having long range product plans to insure your
company has a future. This does result in design compromises.

Yes, I'm sure it's possible to build custom, one off products that will
beat mass produced commercial products in at least some ways. Building a
product that will win in the sales arena is not near so certain.
