I forgot one other detail, the CAD claim to be a made in USA mic. It's
unclear if that means they design and make the whole thing here, just
design it here, or bring in the insides and put in a housing.
There is another mic for which I have not found noise specs that may be
similar. It's another multipattern, large diaphragm, the Samson C03.
There has been some discussion of it in the micbuilders group.

Yep, Utah would not challenge a mic's moisture sensitivity much. Not
like here where I can have dew dripping off a mic. Moisture sensitivity
is often what rules mics out for nature recording, so something to find
out early.
It is encouraging that the fog did not set it off.
