As a farther note on this subject of reliability differences you can
note that the technology used changed quite a bit with the 1.3 gig and
2.3 gig disks. Read the white paper:

The new technology is more complex, and one could say that each
additional layer of complexity adds more failure modes. I cannot say, as
I've used so few of the higher capacity disks. So far no failures, but
it's a small sample. What I've read about it would indicate it's no more
likely to fail in other user's experience.
