The push in iPod recording is likely to be for business conferences,
notes and such like, not quality recording. The Belkin product is of
that type.
Actually the more interesting news for folks who use macs is that the G5
has optical digital I/O built in. It's hard disks are not all that fast,
but fast enough. Unfortunately they did not do the same with the new
line of G4 Powerbooks, got tons of connectivity matching the stuff on
the G5, but only analog audio I/O. Have to hook up a external unit to
get digital.
