I'd really never had reason to worry about it. Yes, it's in the manual 
on page 11, I just looked. And you are right, 30 is the ID for HHb, or 
the Portadisc since it's the only MD they make.

They state there that the time display is minutes and seconds, but it's 
hours and minutes. Or at least that agrees with the true time for mine. 
So I think that's a error in the manual.

That page also reminded me of another way you won't get the correct 
info. If the TOC has not been updated. To make sure it is, either eject 
the disk or turn off the Portadisc. This really applies only if you did 
anything to modify the disk during that session. That includes any 
naming of tracks or disks. That also effectively tells you that the 
display info is not being kept in memory, but is read from the TOC when 
requested.

Been quite a while since I read the manual through.
