I second that. A blind is needed for recordings in a lek and has
advantages in other species you have to wait for. But the "Yeti"
look has its own advantages and lends well to other techniques very
well.

Nothing beats the "Yeti" if you are one who likes to find the
species, record, and then continue to halve the distance and record
again. You find that with many species the number of times you can
halve the distance is dramatically improved. The small song birds do
not even seem to pick you up as a life form even if you don't stay
completely still.

Most locations I record are in public lands that are not blind
friendly either. I like the suit when temps are below 60 F and I
don't recommed swimming in it. I got over looking funny when I
turned 13 and I am only seen in the suit when I move so if I don't
want to be seen then I am not. I was in a kids TV show this year
wearing the suit on a segment for kids recording birds which was fun.
The suit was discribed as a step up from being under a blanket and
the 32" dish was a step up from a chinese wok.

I am very glad that Greg introduced me to the Guille Suit.
A picture of me as a "Yeti" is found in our groups members profiles.
