I am trying to make a copy on MD of a wav file on my computer's hard disk,= connecting the coaxial digital output on the sound card to the coaxial digital input on the Portadisc. I have made the appropriate input settings= on the Portadisc but when I try to record I get a 'Cannot Copy!' message. According to the manual this means that digital recording is not allowed due to the SCMS copy protect function. Does this mean it is impossible to transfer a recording from a computer to a Portadisc, even though the recording is one's own? Congratulations to Doug for setting up and maintaining this excellent list!
