The RA format is specific to Real Player.  The good news is that you
can disable the Real Player from recognizing anything by RA and RAM
file types.  That should help you play MP3 files on your player of
choice and still use Real for streaming radio and video media links.

I have posted a message #10251 above that links to a very detailed
set of instructions that should put a nail in Real Player and allow
you to use whatever application of your choice to play MP3 and WAV
files.
