Binaural otra vez

Yeah. We did likewise, Scott. Also baited for other insects, as well.
But basically, the Aachen head simply failed (for us). Joe was
CERTAIN, when he heard the results, that what we got in terms of
great binaural sound was accomplished with the Aachen when, in fact,
it was mostly done with cheap Sony ECM 55Bs either tied to a local
tree, or clipped to the stems of my eyeglasses and holding my head
very still and hardly breathing for long periods of time so the
spatial perspective wouldn't change. Joe was so convinced of the
efficacy of the Aachen, we knew he wouldn't even entertain any
verdict other than great results come from expensive equipment. Of
course, we never mentioned it at the time. As often happens with
religion, politics, and sex, the truth can be revealed only much
later - well after the fact - when it is less likely to hurt so much.
