I was wondering, for those of you recording with two
mics (for stereo) and a minidisc recorder, how are you
connecting your mics to the minidisc recorder?

I have a pair of mics which are self powered (battery)
and am trying to do this with xlr cables and a Y jack.
But I think I bought the wrong cables. I have two
_stereo_ xlr to 1/8" cables plugged into a mono/mono
(in) to stereo (out) Y jack, which is then plugged
into the recorder. With one mic plugged directly into
the recorder, no problem. With one mic plugged into
the Y jack, no audio whatsoever. I assume I should be
using _mono_ xlr cables instead?

If you can suggest parts and a place to buy them, I'd
really be grateful... I'm dying to do some stereo
recording.

Thanks,

Brian
