Hi Phil, As I mentioned some months ago I use the OKMII Pro mics. They are great for me, because I am very mobile and agile. So I try to get closer to the sourc= e (bird). Actually the 3D turns into 4D because of my motion. Self noise is not a big trouble. My collegue Thomas Brunner uses them also for many years for good recordings.
