How cool is that! Yes, Dan, I recall waking up in the wee hours while growing up in Escondido back in the '60s and hearing our neighborhood mocke= r voicing its way through innumerable variations while all other "normal" birds were slumbering *smile*. There are supposed to be Northern mockingbirds here in the Midwest but damn if I have EVER heard one around here; only an occasional starling. Hap |
