I bought these wonderful little mics January this year and have been
totally impressed with their response.
They are a great mic for recording ambient noises and to set the scene,
on the weekend I tied a pair to a tree and left them connected to a
portable minidisk for about 90 mins, in this sample, you literally hear
a group of crows inspecting them! They get so close, you would think the
crows were recording with them themselves, I was about 1 mile away doing
other things.
I highly recommend the DSM'S though they are not cheap, I think mine
were around $650 but they also come with optional wind socks...

Sample is about 1min long

(Has anyone used the DSM mics from Sonic Studios? Though they seem to be
of high quality, I wonder how well they work in the field.

Curious,
