Regarding the discussion taking place on commercialism on the Nature
Recordists group, rest assured that I am watching these posts and will step
in as necessary in my judgement to mitigate them. This is a good subject
for the FAQ, and I'll write that section. Basically posts used solely to
sell equipment or services are forbidden, but I generally allow a wide
latitude so that we can all get the most and most recent information
possible about new and current technologies.
When I feel that the discussion is becoming too blatantly commercial (or
rancorous, or off-topic) I generally deal directly with the appropriate
member off-list.
